Plural leads Augur's $15M seed round

09 March 2026

London-based Augur, an AI startup focused on protecting critical infrastructure, has raised $15 million in a seed funding round led by Plural, with participation from 1st Kind, SNR, Flix, and Tiny VC.

The newly raised capital will support product development and the expansion of deployments across Europe, as governments and infrastructure operators look to upgrade security systems amid rising threats to civilian infrastructure.

The company develops software that turns existing surveillance infrastructure—such as cameras and sensors—into real-time intelligence systems capable of detecting threats and suspicious behaviour. Rather than relying on facial recognition or profiling, Augur's platform analyses behavioural patterns and movement in 3D space, helping security teams identify potential risks and hostile reconnaissance while remaining compliant with European privacy regulations. The company is targeting venues and operators responsible for critical infrastructure and large public spaces, including transport hubs, stadiums, retail centres, and energy facilities. It has already begun deployments with infrastructure operators in the UK.

Khaled Helioui, Partner at Plural, commented: "Augur combines the deep field experience and technological innovation needed to address one of the defining security challenges of the decade, with a guiding moral compass that will ultimately make its tech more valuable than what has come before."
