Specialist VC participates in Agileday €6.4M Series A funding round

Agileday, a Finnish technology company building a people-centric operating platform for professional services, has raised €6.4 million in Series A funding. The funding round was led by Newion, with participation from Specialist VC, Vendep Capital, and Business Finland. The investment will fuel Agileday’s international expansion and advance its mission to modernise how professional services firms plan, deliver, and scale their work.

Agileday was founded in 2022 by experienced entrepreneurs Jaakko Hartikainen, Mikko Virtanen, Jaakko Hallavo, and Hannu Kärkkäinen. While working together at the IT company Tieto, Hartikainen and Virtanen experienced firsthand the common challenges that professional services firms face as they grow. In response, they developed a human-centric, transparent leadership model that later became the foundation of the Agileday platform. “Agileday was founded because we saw how outdated management systems were holding both people and businesses back,” says Jaakko Hartikainen, co-founder and co-CEO of Agileday.

Agileday serves over 70 global service companies, ranging from fast-growing consultancies to publicly listed corporations, driven by 3x year-over-year growth and particularly strong demand from enterprise clients such as Apply Digital, Propeller, and The Electric Factory in North America, and Knowit, Siili Solutions, and Eficode in Europe. “Our strong growth shows that Nordic values – trust and radical transparency – are a real competitive advantage for modern companies. When processes serve people, not the other way around, teams deliver better results faster,” says Mikko Virtanen, co-founder and co-CEO of Agileday.

With the new funding, Agileday is focusing on scaling its technology and accelerating growth across Europe and North America.
