Lightyear has raised
$23M in a Series B funding round, taking their total funding to date to $58M. The round was led by NordicNinja,
with backing from Superangel, SpecialistVC, and several existing investors and business angels. This funding supports the launch of Lightyear AI, a suite of tools offering real-time market insights and analysis to empower retail investors.
Since their last funding round in 2022, Lightyear has moved at a rapid pace to transform Europe's investment infrastructure.
Lightyear is now operating in 25 countries across 10 languages, with $1BN in customer assets. Martin Sokk, CEO and Co-Founder of Lightyear: "We're building one investment platform that works across Europe. Not by dumbing things down, but by understanding the complexity of the market and building the tech to handle it.
This round gives us the firepower to expand to even more countries, deepen our localisation, and make the platform feel truly built for every user, not just translated."
Marko Oolo, Partner at Superangel: "As an early supporter of the team, we at Superangel are incredibly excited to continue backing Martin, Mihkel, and the entire Lightyear team on their journey. We believe that investing should be accessible to everyone, with low fees and broad access to markets. In a world where financial well-being is foundational to people's freedom and future, investing shouldn't be a luxury. Lightyear is removing the friction and the high fees.
We are proud to support their mission to make capital markets work better for the everyday European."For more information, visit
