Project Q, founded by Leonard Wessendorff and Frank Christian Sprengel, has raised
€7.5M in a seed funding round, led by Project A,
with participation from Superangel and Expeditions Fund.
This funding will accelerate the development of Project Q's platform. This first-of-its-kind "internet-of-defence" system connects off-the-shelf sensors to provide frontline troops with real-time battlefield awareness against threats like incoming drones.
Project Q is rooted in deep European defence experience. The team is building what they wish they had in the field.
While defence is their core mission, the tech could one day help protect civilian infrastructure, such as airports and energy systems.Superangel commented: "We're proud to back this exceptional team as they build the future of European defence technology and strengthen the security across the continent.
What stood out for us was a rare combination of mission-driven grit, deep defence expertise, and sharp technical ambition. As defence-tech development speeds up, interoperability between systems becomes a must, and Project Q is positioned to become the connective layer across NATO and beyond.
