OLI, a health tech startup building the future of hemodialysis, has raised its
pre-seed funding round, led by Verge HealthTech Fund, with follow-on support from its existing investor, SOSV.
OLI is on a mission to make kidney care radically more accessible with portable hemodialysis technology. Today, dialysis often means traveling to specialized centers multiple times a week — a reality that creates huge barriers for patients, especially in underserved regions.
The investment, which was closed six months ago, has helped the company achieve several important milestones, including:
- Engineered the next generation of our compact hemodialysis prototype, establishing performance and safety for pre-clinical readiness.
- Secured our regulatory and clinical roadmap, including key advisor input and alignment on our FDA submission strategy.
- Expanding and strengthening the team with expertise from leading MedTech and dialysis organizations.
This investment was rooted in a shared conviction: kidney care must be transformed and made radically more accessible. A representative of Verge HealthTech Fund commented:
"We're excited to see the impact OLI will create in transforming kidney care, breaking down access barriers, and improving quality of life for patients around the world."
