Siena Secondary Fund acquired a stake in Finnish scaleup Oura Ring
Siena Secondary Fund, an investment fund founded in early 2021, which focuses on secondary market transactions in high-growth late-stage startups by providing liquidity to early investors, (ex-)employees and founders, made its first deal in Finland, acquiring a stake in Oura Ring - the world's leading sleep-tracking healthtech company.
Oura Ring is a pioneering health and wellness technology company known for its smart ring technology. The Oura Ring monitors sleep, activity, and overall well-being, providing users with actionable insights to optimise their health and performance. Oura Ring is trusted by more than 1 million consumers worldwide from housewives to celebrities like Prince Harry, Kim Kardashian, Shaquille O’ Neal and many others. During the COVID outbreak, the device was used by the NBA for early detection of the virus. Several independent reviews across the world consider Oura Ring as the best sleep-tracking device in the industry.
In 2021, Oura raised a series C round of $100 million and a follow-up round in spring 2022 at a valuation of 2.5B USD which has helped to accelerate its growth.
